In an effort to pay homage to the German engineers who have brought us so much joy and happiness, we would like to highly encourage everyone to go all out with their ensemble and dress as authenticly German as possible. Rumors has it that some members may opt for the traditional Lederhosen and feather hat…but you didn’t hear it from us…SSShhhh…..

      Date: Saturday October 5th, 2024
      Time: 01:00PM Lunch
Location: Red Lion Tavern 366 Glendale Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90039

We currently have 6 registeration on the event page and 4 “I am going” on Facebook for the upcoming GM at the Red Lion Tavern. The restaurant needs an accurate head count so we don’t show up with 20 participants when they set us up for 10.
So… If you’re planning on attending the ride followed by the GM this Saturday, please go to the signup page here and register:
            Thank you in advance

              Good afternoon South Coasters,

We will be meeting tomorrow for a short ride in the Angeles Crest Mountains and then lunch and our GM at the Red Lion Tavern. That area is part of Silverlake and since it’s one of the oldest parts of Los Angeles, parking tends to be problematic at times. They EXTREMELY FROWN UPON parking in the other businesses’ parking spots. There is plenty of street parking, and below is what RLT has provided us for parking:
              • A: The general parking lot for RLT is attached to the restaurant. It can fit 9 X cars plus 1 X handicap parking spot. (I’ve got a handicap sign and calling dibs on that spot as your fearless leader for tomorrow!) Not sure how many cars will be there on Saturday for lunch but that is our first option, shown on the map below as A. Kinda steep but manageable.

              • B: There is a private driveway between the restaurant and the garden that they are making available to us. It’s a steep driveway and we can double up and fit a few bikes in there as well. Shown below as option B.

              • C: The manager told us that we can park a few bikes on the sidewalk as he does all the time (shown in the photo), shown below as option C.

Please let me know if this is easy to understand or if you need more clarification. See you tomorrow at Panera parking lot in La Canada for a KSU of 10:30.
