The June General Meeting offers a couple of options on how to attend. The Meeting will be held at the Pineknot Campground in Big Bear on Saturday June 7. The meeting will commence at 11:00 am
Options:
1. Ron Z will be leading a ride up Saturday to the GM. ( look for Ron’s post to this forum for the “where and when.”) You can ride home after the GM or camp the night, ride road or dirt Saturday afternoon and head home Sunday. If you are not a camper but wish to stick around you can find a hotel in town, but you are on your own to make bookings.
2. Ride up Friday and camp Friday night and Saturday night. Ride road or dirt Friday afternoon, Saturday morning and Saturday afternoon following the meeting. Could this be “paradise”?
We have four campsites reserved for Friday June 6 and Saturday June 7 . (The campground is fully booked, so no extra sites are available.) Even if you have already registered for this ride and wish to camp you must email or text me directly to confirm your option. One night or two nights camping ? Our campsites are filling up, so don’t leave it until it is too late.

Sorry, but I need to cancel going on this trip, our escrow will be closing that saturday and it is better that I pull the plug a month out rather than that week when all the closing challenges come.Really bummed, hope to get out, get settled somewhere and get back to some riding!

Also for those who might be interested, Lorna and myself have reserved 2 nights (Sat & Sun) at the “Bluegreen The Club at Big Bear Village“. We have an extra room available at $50/night that can sleep up to 3 people, so those that are interested can split the $50/night. Let me know if anyone is interested.
A GPX file for the route will be posted here as the date gets closer.

It is Willis, my home is on the other side of Anaheim Hills. The ride to the campground is about two hour, let us plan to meet at Starbucks by Weir Canyon and Santa Ana Canyon rd at 8:30am on Saturday! Not sure if any other members like to ride together!

Like to know the time and ride / dinner plan for both Friday and Saturday. My sister has a house at near by Lake Arrowhead, I can join the ride during the day.

Can’t speak for Friday, and I don’t think there are club plans for dinner Saturday evening, but if not you’re welcome to join Lorna and I on Saturday for dinner. We’ve not made any specific plans as yet though.
Hello SouthCoasters! Attached is Saturday’s route from Panera Bread to the Pineknot Campground in Big Bear. There will be a bit of freeway getting into Highland, but then fun stuff to the campground. Temps for this route will be from the mid-60s to the low 70s.
Again, please arrive gassed up 8:25am for the ride meeting, or earlier if you want coffee or breakfast. KSU will be 8:45am sharp, and will have us at the campground around 10:30am.Hi South Coasters,

So…when I think of a campground, images of dirt and gravel roads come to mind. Is any of this excursion off-pavement?

Fear not Tom, and other riders of BMW machines that may be sporting black rubber with a pavement pattern and paint jobs that cringe at the thought of gravel chips being launched in their direction. The road to the campground and the campground access roads to the individual campsites is pavement. Your machines will be saved ! The camping crew will do our best to keep the best parking spots at the campsites available for the road warriors.
