I just saw on Google maps that Ysabell’s Coffee is listed as “Permanently Closed.” I’m not sure when this was posted but…SHOOT!
It’s too late to change the meetup location so we’ll stick with this shopping center. It’s called Lincoln Square and lists birrieria and Ethiopian restaurants, a carniceria, bartender school, and nutrition center. I’m sure you can find something you like. Jim’s Market opens at 8:00. Maybe they’ll have coffee. We’ll make it work.
Hi South Coasters!
This GM will take place at Thelma’s Family Restaurant and Bakery, in Big Bear. You may remember the lovely outside patio seating and amazing breakfasts at Thelma’s.
Our route into the cool San Bernardino Mountains will take us up and over Highway 38; around the frontside to the back. We’ll pass tall pines, Boy Scout and church camps, the quaint village of Angeles Oaks, and skim past the snow park.
Following the GM, the ADV crowd will take an easy ride through Holcomb Valley.
There will be two meetup spots.
- Meetup #1: Irv Seavers at 8:00 for coffee and conversation. KSU at 9:00.
- Meetup #2: Ysabell’s Coffee, 12702 Magnolia Ave UNIT 26, Riverside, CA 92503. Arrive NLT 9:15 if you want breakfast and coffee, KSU at 10:00.

In all of the excitement for Utah, I’ve lost sight of our next GM. We’re headed up to the cool of the mountains and the gpx file will be posted soon.
This will be my LAST ride I’m leading before I head off into the sunset and turn the club over to new leadership!… Who am I kidding, I’ll be the next Steve L, leading rides well into retirement.
