Nice work Mr. Karl!
Hahaha Bill. How did you know? 😊
Hello guys and gals,
Good news is I will be able to make the ride, and Ivy and I are now homeowners! Let the fun begin 😀
I will be riding up solo from OC after a few hours at the office and should roll in around 7 or 8. Looking forward to a great weekend!
Ivy and Brandon will be there – will bring vegetables for appetizer.
Ron, I think it is going to be a mixed bag depending on our route and elevation. I know I will be starting the day nice and warm. You can always shed layers 🙂
Jessie,
My experience is to use whatever tool for route planning. If you can route plan with BaseCamp, good luck…the tool is hard to navigate so here is what I do.
I used to use Tyre for route planning and now the new app (MyRoute) which is web-based. I have yet to test the connector to the GPS to see if it properly routes the waypoints, but I use BaseCamp to open the trip planned in Tyre and/or MyRotue and upload to the GPS with BaseCamp. Works like a charm, but a few extra steps to import into BaseCamp and upload.
Ron,
I am going to try to use the MyRoute app connector and see if the waypoints are properly loaded. If they don’t, what I do like about the MyRoute-app is that it is portable and has mobile options. Soon I will replace my GPS with my iPad on my bike haha. I will let you know how the MyRoute app connector works and if it plays friendly with route points. Otherwise, my workaround is to import to BaseCamp.
Hey John,
Called today for reservation in Kingman but they didn’t have our group in the ‘system’ yet. Manager of the hotel is in tomorrow after 10:30. I will see if I can help sort out the group rate so folks can book. I booked at the Route 66 Motel for 77/night.
Thanks,
BReservation confirmed. 🙂
I only fell for the April fools letter my first year! 🙂
Brandon with bike and tent.
Karl,
Call me counted for interest sir!
Erasmo,
I need to back out this weekend. I have to be in Europe next week and will be flying out Saturday. Have a great ride!
Folks still going even though the weather looks a bit ugly?
Sorry to see that you will not make it David. But the weather does look nice and cool! 🙂
Chris,
Oh so true and I was hoping to catch some hell for my smart ass comments. 🙂 Looking very forward to this weekend boys and girls! :d
Who says we are the ride to eat club? 🙂 I can already hear my gut getting fatter.
Catching up on the thread, I think if you don’t have one and are not part of the geezer club for park passes, I already paid mine off in visits but it really does depend on how many times you think you will visit. I think it is worth it. Only 20 years to go for me to join the geezer club for national park passes. Quite possible by then, they will charge me double!
I was just checking the weather, and it looks like the rain chances have evaporated. Partly cloudy with a high of 71 and a low of 46. I will keep my frog togs handy regardless.

Chris,
This looks great! A lot of new roads for me and looking forward to the adventure. 🙂 My National Park Pass is burning a hole in my pocket already.
