How about the USN Blue Angels and the USAF Thunderbirds in the same airshow? That has only happened a few times in the history of those jet teams, but it’s happening on March 18 & 19 at Point Magu NAS.
I haven’t worked out the details yet, but I’m going — at least on Saturday and maybe Sunday too. If any of you would like to join me, just let me know in this thread.

A little more info:
- Point Mugu is an easy day ride.
- The airshow and parking are free.
- There’s lots more going on besides the jet teams.

I thought I’d kick this up to the top of the Recent Replies list one more time. This airshow is this coming weekend and I’m going whether anyone joins me or not. But it would be a lot more fun with some other South Coasters riding with me.
Just a reminder: This airshow will only be the third time in history that the USAF Thunderbirds and the USN Blue Angels will perform in the same airshow, so if shock-n-awe aerial performances by two of the worlds premier jet demonstration teams appeals to you, then Point Mugu is where you want to be next weekend.
Oh, and the airshow and parking are free!
So if you’re interested n riding up there with me, post something in this thread and we’ll figure out where we’ll meet up and when.
