Eric, please include me for the MOA Rally. I’ve already registered with the MOA. I’m also interested in doing the Chief Joseph Rally, so a 2-week trip works for me. I’m in for camping all the way for both events. Super looking forward to some epic riding with the Club!
Thx, /carl
Digging a little further, looks like we’re safe, since they will not close SR-74 between OC and Lake Elsinore until Friday 9pm and we will cross SR-74 in the morning.
RIVERSIDE, CA – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) continues work on State Route 74 (SR-74) in Riverside County from the Riverside and Orange County border to Monte Vista, just west of Lake Elsinore. Crews will be performing paving operations at various locations throughout the project zone.
A FULL 55-HOUR WEEKEND CLOSURE WILL BEGIN AT 9:00 P.M. ON FRIDAY, OCTOBER 13 AND CONTINUE TO 4:00 A.M. ON MONDAY, OCTOBER 16.
I Googled and found some SR-74 road closures.

A friend of mine mentioned Ortega Highway (SR-74) will closed this weekend for construction. Can anyone corroborate?
Eric, I’m confirmed for camping. Also, Brandon Key.

Oops, I conflated Harry’s Morro Bay Facebook video with the Baja trip.
Henry, Harry,
Love the ride info and improved communication. Terrific Facebook video starring Harry. Easy one click registration. DONE – just registered. Looking forward to an awesome time in Baja!

Carl and Connie will bring Asian seafood egg rolls.
Chris, Sergio, Pete,
Glad that you guys registered for Coppers and Cycles training this coming weekend. I will be on a motocamping trip to Joshua Tree (organized by LBBMW) so won’t be able to make it. I introduced the training to two friends who will attend: James Lau and Darshan Laheri. James is a good friend and my next door neighbor. He recently purchased my BMW blue G310R after graduating from e-bikes to a motorcycle. He’s ridden motorcycles as a UCLA grad student many eons ago. Who knows he may graduate to an RT or GS and become a SCBMWRC member like me. Darshan is a good friend and office mate. He rode many years in India and recently started getting back into riding. He’s on a red Kawasaki Ninja 400. I will mention your names. Please say hello when you run into them. I know for me, these types of training is more fun when you hear some familiar names.
Best,
/carlDave, I will join Jacob and you at Flo’s.
Sergio, thanks for the posting! I just registered for the March class, too. I find these trainings super helpful. In fact, yesterday I took the Hawthorne Ride to Live class, Saturday, Jan 22, along with Cedric, Gilbert, Henry, and some other friends, along with some SD BMW club members. I built on some skills; always room to improve. SD will be a nice alternative setting to the 105 freeway with the occasional screaming train up above smothering HPD officers’ voices…
Carl Tung Will attend and bring spring rolls.
Eric, can you please add me to the group text? I just got clearance to take Friday off work, so I will be going go Pinnacles! Super excited as this will be my first time on a SCBMWRC outing as a new member and also camping via motorcycle. Looking forward to learning more about motocamping from the experienced members.
/carl
