Erasmo, It would help greatly if you can sign up on the Ride List. Getting in the habit of using it will make the ride leaders job much easier. Yes, I will add you and Dianne, on the list. May need to park the bike in overflow, definitely the car.
Thanks,
K
Roll Call!
Please see below for who I understand are registered for this weekend. Those that have signed up on the Ride List sign up have first come, first serve parking at the campsites. Please see below, and if you are not signed up on the ride list, please do so. If you indicated you are going to be in a hotel room, but have not made a reservation, do so soon.
If you have any question, please let me know. If we fill up camping, we will need to get additional sites.

Jessie Vaca (need to make Hotel reservation)Hi South Coasters, I received an update call from the Inn at Morro Bay this morning letting me know we have just two more weeks, until March 20, 2017 to make reservations for those who wish to stay at the hotel under the club block of rooms. So, if you would like to stay in this nice hotel, walking distance to the Morro Bay State Park, please call:
805 772-5651 and make your reservation as part of the South Coast BMW Riders Club block of rooms. Do it today!
Update on the group Rally Camping.
I confirmed with the rally Chartered Camping Chairman that the South Coasters are registered for a Group Area. This means that there will be a dedicated area, within the bigger camping area, which we can all be adjacent to each other.
From my experience at both the 49’er Rally and the last MOA rally, it is SO much more better to be adjacent to the rally events and launching point for any rally activity.
As we get closer to the event I will be getting an updated list of who is camping to proved the rally chairman.
Karl
PS Please look to the rally website for hotel suggestions, any group rates, etc. Thanks

Good Article, thank you Lee. FYI, I was not able to do the cut and paste on my browser, Chrome, but was able to click directly on the link to get to the article. We will be incorporating this information in the route planning for the April, 2017 club ride in the Central Coast. We will certainly touch some coast, but also inland from that area to catch the wild flower bloom which with all this rain should be amazing!
ahhhh, brings back good memories…like we were just there…ready to get out again…. but alas work….. 🙁
See you on the Borrego Ride!!
Nice Pic David!!
I learn something new every encounter from this fine group………..this time good……….
Hey Scott, Yes ran Latigo and a few others Sunday, the area has so many nice roads. Latigo is nice, the bottom 1/3 off PCH is kind of busy with residential traffic, but the top 1/3 is a good 2nd and 3rd gear turn road. The farther North and West you go the less communities and more open the road is. Have fun next weekend!
Understand Scott, Yes, we will run Latigo, not sure what else, Rock Store to do some bike watching for sure. Looks like it will be Mark B and I, will take it easy as we see what the roads look like, nothing is closed per se, but road condition sites don’t go any further of course.
Scott, Mark B and I are riding Sunday, meet up is at 9am at the Starbucks, 5030 Rosecrans Ave, Hawthorne, Ca, just off the 405 freeway. Anyone is welcome for an informal half day ride to lunch, location to eat TBD!

Ok Scott, Let me know about this Sunday. I am on the road the following two weekends unfortunately.
Bill, Website says $6 with Cafe purchase, 4hr validation, well worth a great beachside place to eat. Alternatively, could pick up bfast at the beach in Santa Monica at the vendor just North of the pier, not sure what parking cost are there, and no where near a beautiful as Paradise.
You guys are impressive, Friday rain looks to be the big day, be safe you Friday riders! Looks like Brandon and Rick are there for sure, who else?? Mark B? I am on the fence.
Scott,
Shoot me a text if you run up there this Sunday. I may be available to ride along, would need to go in the morning. Places to look up for a lunch break:– Paradise Cafe, Malibu, on the beach literally, can’t beat the view
– Topanga Table, Topanga Blvd, good casual quality lunch spot, great food, not cheap.
– Rock Store, of course have to put it as a option. Iconic, biker place, similar to Hell’s Kitchen, or Cooks CornerKarl
626 483-4009Hey Chris, here is a “Retired Ride Group” informally putting day rides together. I know there was a recent informal ride posted, but it is really not more formal than a forum posting.
I would say throw it up on the Ride Forum and the Club Facebook page and see who responds…………..who knows, I might be “sick” that day!

Works Rick, thanks.
Just checked the Reserve America website for Tamarisk Grove Campground, the new campsite venue per last weekends club meeting. It looks like all the sites and cabins are booked for this weekend, so we can camp in the two sites reserved by Tom White, or you can reserve a room back in Borrego Springs, about 10 miles North, if you do not wish to camp.
Hey Brando, spot on for the team as Seavers, not only did they do all that for you yesterday, but Seavers hosted our CPR class in the old showroom across the street. Thank you Evan and Lois for your support of motorcycle riding AND safety!
Great Idea Scott, go for it!! If we are free we would like to join in!
