Thanks Bill, I knew I could count on you for some good input! I will integrate into the route planning tonight. Karl
Attached is are the routes from the Harbor Cafe in Seal Beach to Ragged Pt, our lunch spot, and the route back. Together it is just over 650 miles, I tried to get a good balance of great roads and stretches where we can get the miles in! If you just can’t get enough riding it, come on out.

OOPPPPSS! Sorry John….corrected above! Now we have an even Dozen!
And I do appreciate the narrative mention of the ride. As you know it is not a ride that lends to a large group anyway……it may make a good solo ride…just me and Ralf!!
Looks like it is going to be one fun time Saturday at the Leo’s with this gang!!! Perhaps we should all just pack sleeping bags, cancel the hotel reservations and spend the the night there!!!
Nah, need to ride a bit more! π
Sharon and I will be leaving Saturday morning July 8, 2017, first night in St. George Utah. Want to start the second day with revisiting Zion in the morning (not dirt roads this time!), maybee cross paths with Mark and Cindy in Zion that morning if our plans align. The we will be heading North to include the highly recommended hwy 12 and hwy 24. We will likely arrive in SLC late Tuesday, stops and routes still being planned, but generally staying East of the 15 in the UT mountains and valley’s up to SLC.
If you are camping at the rally site you can arrive Thursday July 13, 2107 registration begins in the morning, ask for the Chartered Club camping area and then the South Coast BMW Rider Club, or just look for the banner and listen for the Jimmy Buffet music!
Here is who I understand are attending, just to coordinate at the rally and if you want to coordinate rides or other, let us know of any additions or deletions:
– Camping
The Honorable John Crittenden
Karl and Sharon Wagner
Rick Catarineau
Lisa Catarineau

Looks like we have 15 bikes and 18 South Coasters going to the rally, good SCBMWRC showing!See you in SLC!!
Great last newsletter Erasmo, thanks for all your hard work!
On the newsletter calendar the Solstice is not there, don’t forget the ride on June 17, 2017! For the hearty, the early risers and young at heart!
Updated draft including misters Sprosty and Crittenden’s comments. Good input.
David, are you attending the rally? Hope so!
Sounds like a great adventure Mark and Cindy! Sharon and I have a slightly different route and dates, but may cross on the way. Hope to see you at the club meeting this weekend and we can discuss routes!
That would be great Rick, you can give ride for a fee!
This guy has the modifications you need!

Ride is now posted to Calendar, Facebook, and the bathroom wall……..and Ragged Point is spelled properly….. π
Rumor is that Ralf may just show up at the last minute…….. :0
Thanks Ted,
Had an objection to the ride on Fathers Day, which I understand if you have kids local, so we moved it to Saturday 5/17. John indicated he was ok with it, if we have a group interested. I do not have any commitments yet.
K
Well if you make this ride Ralf, we will find a way to get to Ragget Point!!!
Perhaps we should do a ride in your neighborhood for the Solstice Ride????
LOL, I bet!!!!! At least you are not back in an office day dreaming about the dream you had for the last thirty days!
Hope you can make the club meeting in June, would be great to hear about the trip.
K
Are you back Mark?
Thanks Dr. Reitz, can you give me a prescription for Open Roads and Clear Skies! π
