Hi everyone. We have a schedule update…. The N Cal BDR trip has been moved to the end of August/beginning of Sep. The plan is to arrive in Mammoth CA on Aug 29 and start the BDR on the Saturday the 30th. We expect to arrive at the Oregon border on Sep 9. I am planning to continue the adventure and head over to the coast and ride down Hwy 1. If time is an issue, you can split off and just head home. The coast ride should take an additional 4 days.
If you are hesitant to ride in the dirt, come to the ADV rally at the end of October. I will also be leading day rides to practice dirt riding skills over the next few months.
The Adventure Rally is getting close. I have reserved 3 camping spaces with room for 4 people in each. Rick M will be on site to support the club. He has put together a menu that includes Breakfast and Dinner (optional sack lunch) for about $100 per person. At the venue, venders will be selling beer, coffee, and motorcycle accessories. You can also participate in demo rides and rider training. Rick and I plan to arrive the afternoon of Wed Oct 30. Please sign up at https://motoadvrally.com/. I just signed up. Please put me down for camping. I can lead an off road ride as well of there is time.
Originally I didn’t think I could take Thursday off of work. That has changed. I plan to ride down Thursday morning in time to check in for the competition. If I get enough people to share the campsite Wednesday night then maybe I will head down.
Hi everyone, I just signed up for the Rally. I am riding a R1250RT so I will be sticking to the pavement. Join my team “South Coast BMW Roadrunners”. I also booked a campsite. I have room for 5 more people to join me. I plan to ride down early Friday morning and stay until Sunday. The campsite is booked Friday to Sunday.
John, I will arrive at the campground Friday morning around 9am. I plan to join the group ride Friday and Saturday.
