Yet another splendid event with the SCBMWRC. Bill Reitz, with much support from Karen, does a remarkable job in this club planning and leading rides. Thanks to all who attended and made this such a great day.
I’m in. Reservations at Comfort Inn in Oakhurst and in Bishop. Best Western in Bakersfield on the 15th. Trish is improving every week, but not ready to ride yet. I’m not sure yet what time I can depart on the 15th, but will join the group leaving from Spaghettini if I can. Bill I’ll let you know.
Trish and I were in an accident on Mesa Grande yesterday at 3 pm on our way to Julian with Danny/Elaine and Steve/Jan. In a tight uphill turn when a tractor-trailer rig came around the corner occupying both lanes. We avoided collision and I stopped the bike, but it fell over. I walked away without a scratch. Trish suffered a dislocated elbow and two fractures in the same arm. Treated at Palomar Med Center. Came home this morning at 1:00. Doc said she needs surgery on elbow. She’s doing okay right now. Danny, Steve, Jan and Elaine were awesome in managing the accident scene and helping with first aid till paramedics arrived.
Bill Reitz did another remarkable job of organizing and leading a great trip. Trish and I enjoyed the weekend, the company and the ride. Thank you Bill.
