John,
You can count me in for the ride up.
Thanks bill. See you guys there in the AM.
One last question, which Arco? The one off lakeshore or right off the 15 by the Costco?
Erasmo, I plan on riding meeting the group in lake Elsinore.
Karl, I am going to work from home. If I don’t hear from John I will meet you guys at the 74 and Grand about the time he suggested.
Karl, John: I might work from home Friday morning so John, if I do that I can meet you around your place and ride to Meet Karl.
Karl, that works great. See you at one.
Love the fact all the new folks joining. Fun stuff. Sorry I won’t be riding with y’all but will see you later in the day. Like Karl some of us need to put in a few hours first :).
Karl, what time are you thinking of leaving? We can ride down together if you want. I will be leaving from work in Irvine after lunch.
Guys – FYI as I will be riding solo to the campsite on Friday. I am going to put in 1/2 day of work so I don’t have to burn the vacation day. I plan to be at the campsite around 4. Not sure if that will be ahead of the group or behind the arrival.
1) Why did you join the SCBMWRC?
I was help up by gunpoint by Jessie when he saw I bought a new BMW. But seriously to enjoy longer rides and overnight adventures with like-minded guys and gals. Ride to eat, ride to live.2) What would prompt you to participate in rides/more riding?
Nothing much prompts me other than to enjoy the ride and explore roads (destinations) I would not have otherwise known about.3) What would you like to see more of?
Not much that I can think of.4) Is there anything you would like to
do personally as part of the SCBMWRC?
I am trying to participate in as many of the club events as possible.Wish I could make that ride but kids are priority during their spring break the first week of April. Have fun!
Thanks for the positive vibes Bill. I am hoping this is not an entirely soggy adventure but rain or shine I am giving it a go. It is getting out of LA in the morning that most likely will be a bit more wet than I would hope for.
Will be there 🙂
Bill, that is the interesting part. Battery and charging system checked out. Will just have to keep monitoring and a portable boot pack is on the way just in case.
When I went to start yesterday it was 11.7 V. About 1 V short of a successful start event. After service yesterday, battery was holding at 12.7 before start. I will have to check it later this week to see if it maintains or drops.
Someday when I have a garage a tender will be nice. Currently I only have covered parking so a tender is not possible that is plugged in. Maybe there is a battery pack tender option out there that I could look for.
Sounds good to me. One suggestio for some of the day rides is to go East first and work west as the tempature increases. When Bill put the challenge on the table yesterday I was thinking of some of those eastern routes before it gets too bloody hot.
Thanks Rick. Lots of choices on Amazon and I appreciate the recommendation. I would rather buy something that I know has been proven!
Good point on the lights, and agreed they should not have been the culprit. Perhaps gods way of delaying me a bit this morning for one reason or another.
What is interesting is the draw the CW lights do have on the system. 13.8 with them off and 13.6 on at 60%, 13.5 at 100%. I would not expect a .3 drop in volts to undercharge and I don’t run them at 100% brightness.
Rick,
I will meet you guys there and complete the ride together.
November 14, 2016 at 1:06 pm in reply to: Pinnacles National Park Camping Weekend 11-13 November #4283Agreed guys. Great way to break in the first camping trip. The routes up and down were well planned and without many encounters from cage drivers. I plead the 5th on the straight away : )
November 5, 2016 at 8:19 pm in reply to: Pinnacles National Park Camping Weekend 11-13 November #4265John, to confirm I will be going and updated my status on the ride list.
See you guys tomorrow.
Larry, I could not agree more. Hope everyone made it home safe and not too soggy!
