Looks like it’s gonna be a great turnout – 9 or 10 so far. I booked a group site which holds up to 20.
The first night’s dinner is included in the $25 fee. Steak, BBQ beans, roasted corn on the cob. Oh yeah.
Second nights dinner will be pot luck – good idea John.
SemperFi Nicholas!!!Bikram – You have to bring enough bourbon to share.
Nice one David. Beauty of a cover photo!
Chuck – It will be a trifecta. Steak Dinner, Campfire, and Knob Creek.
Also, you only qualify for a loaner while your bike is under warrantee – 2 yrs.
Every time I’ve requested a loaner, Harley asks me if I bought my bike from Irv’s. It’s a policy I was told about when I bought my bike. Added perk for buying from Irv’s.
Karl – I do like my personal space but I guess I’ll share a canopy 😉
I’ll provide the camp ice chest. I’m using a big ice chest for my shipping container for my camping gear to\from SLC.That’s awesome Chris! I’ll pitch in for the canopy… or should I order a second one?
Awesome job David, once you get past the cover photo that is.
There’s a mobile app for the rally with maps, schedules, etc. It’s a little hard to find. Search for “Crossroads 17” on the app store.
John, I wasn’t upset. I was just suggesting why you may not have gotten many responses yet.
I don’t remember getting the email. I wonder if everyone got it.
Anyway, sorry, but Cindy & I won’t be there this year.
I’ve never been to a rally before. I’m camping. Do people bring their own meals? Are there food vendors on sight?
It was easy to miss but there was a good discussion about hyponatremia in the above gear choice article. That’s where you drink so much water and sweat so much that your salt levels drop to dangerously low levels.
I sweat like crazy and get dehydrated pretty easily. I drink Gatorade and other sport drinks but am usually exhausted after a day of strenuous activities in the heat.
I was going to bring salt tablets to the MOA rally but found something much better. It’s a powdered electrolyte mix. It’s basically all the good stuff from Gatorade with vitamins without all the sugar. There are many different brands on the market but I can highly recommend these:
Jigsaw Electrolyte Supreme™These taste ok and really do work. I was replacing a pool filter this past weekend and was in 90 degree heat all weekend long. I had one of the electrolyte drinks in the morning and one at the end of the day (with lots of water in between) and felt great. I wasn’t exhausted at the end of the day! This stuff’s great.

I’m headed out Thursday afternoon, 7/6. So far It’s myself, my wife, and David Omlor. Everyone’s welcome to join us all or part of the way.
We’re taking 7 days to get to the Rally. Visiting Zion, Bryce, Coral Pink Sand Dunes, North Rim of Grand Canyon, Capitol Reef, Canyonlands, Arches, and Dinosaur National Monument. We’re staying in hotels for 1 night in Las Vegas, 3 nights at Mt. Carmel, 2 nights in Moab, and 1 night in Salt Lake City. Attached are the complete details if interested.

Cheers, Mark & Cindy BorgesonI wonder how much difference a full size windshield makes? That’s got to block most of the wind, at least for the driver.
Updated route to include Utah-12 out of Bryce. Much better route indeed.
