Karl W – What? Who’s leading the fast group?
If anyone wants to ride up to Panera’s from South OC this Friday morning, let’s meet up at the Chevron at the I5 & El Toro (23891 Bridger Rd, Lake Forest) at 7:30am. Let me know.
John, update your count by 1. I’ll be going.
I was there last year but the details are a little foggy πSign me up. I’ll be there on a bike this year.
I hope we can have a real campfire this time.Bill Allen – Tom was in the Coast Guard so give him a break.
There’s an extra parenthese on page 23. Sheesh!

Dave, only BoD members should see the dashboard. Send Rick an email.
Chris, I haven’t had any problems with the website for the last few weeks. It went from problems every other day to none???
David – I’ll start updating the club’s photo gallery again soon. I get most of the photos from the club’s Facebook page. I was off Facebook for a while which explains the absence of photos. It took a bit of persuasion, but Bill finally let me back into the club’s FB membership π
Sorry all. I won’t be there (big cheers). Cindy won’t be there either (big sighs).

Sounds like most BMW riders π1) Do you ever have problems accessing any area of the club website? β Most indubitably.
2) How often do you experience an access problem somewhere on the site when you log in? It’s like walking in a minefield.
3) Does it make you access the club page less? β No, because I love the member comments such as what Bill Allen has to say. Who could stay away?
4) Is it something you would like improved? β It depends upon what the meaning of the word “is” is.
5) Do you access with a Mac and iPhone – Always.
6) Comments? Seriously, it only happens when I use the Safari browser. If I use the Chrome browser, I never have a problem. For those of you staying at the Gunn House, don’t be surprised if you hear “Roooohdeeeee Rooohhdeeeeeeee” with the faint sound of creepy organ music playing in the middle of the night. It’s probably just your imagination. Ahh ha ha ha ha!
It’s been hot and it’s supposed to be even hotter this weekend. The forecast for the valley (Porterville, Merced & Sonora) is 100+.
Thankfully the passes are beautiful in the 70’s.
I road Ebbets, Luther & Monitor, passes yesterday. They are in great condition. CalTrans is resurfacing them and a lot of the road is brand spanking new.
Here’s a teaser shot of an alpine lake off Hwy4:

Chris – I was at the Gunn House yesterday. I stirred up the ghosts and let them know the South Coasters were coming π
FYI. The Gunn House Hotel is located on the corner of Washington and June st. Be forewarned, June st. is a total piece of crap “road”. It’s VERY steep and challenging due major grade changes entering and exiting the road. A Harley ate-it trying to maneuver it today. I was talking to a Ducati GS rider and the first thing he asked me was “so what’d you think of that driveway?”.
June St. is used to get to the hotel’s registration and upper parking lots. The registration parking will hold 5 bikes max. If everyone tries to enter at the same time, you’ll get backed up and tip over like a bunch of dominoes.
There’s street parking in front of the Gunn and shared parking next to the hotel. I’d recommend using either of those to check in and then look at June st.
Karl, I’m embarrassed but I have one of the SCBMWRC banners. I’ve had it since the last Pinnacles trip. I’ll bring it to the rally and pass it on to you.
Bill, Rick,
The login problem happens to me 50% of the time, but only when using the Safari browser on macbook and iPhone. I never have the issue when using the Chrome or Edge browsers.Hey, what about me?
Another great newsletter! The articles and photos are even better when you’re not there. Miss you all.
Dale – Have fun! I hope the weather is perfect for your trip!
