I will be getting 25 free tickets to this charity event in Rancho Mirage. I can do a route from O.C. to Rancho Mirage and back, leaving at about 10:30 a.m., coming back when we decide.
Here is the data on this event:
The Smithfield King of the Smoker Competition is a non-profit event, where top pitmasters from around the country come to compete for $75,000. Some big BBQ names include Myron Mixon of BBQ Pitmasters fame and Johnny Trigg “The Godfather” of BBQ. There will be BBQ prize raffles, Mini-BBQ classes hosted by the pitmasters themselves, live music, and food vendors. If you or anyone in your organization like barbecue or want to learn new barbecue skills from the masters, this is the event for them!
All raffle, food, and ticket proceeds from the King of the Smoker benefit The Casey Lee Ball Foundation for Pediatric Kidney Disease – a charity where 100% of every dollar raised goes directly to children in need. Eating delicious barbecue for a good cause; it’s a win-win for everyone involved.
We would love if you could join us for a day filled with BBQ fun.
