-Dates September 16 & 17, thinking about riding up on Friday the 15thI have heard that its a nice ride up, anyone interested let me know ASAP so we can sort planning a route!
Hi all
It’s that time of year for the Fort Bragg ride! It will be the weekend of September 16 – 17, and hopefully we’ll still have nice weather then. And Highway 1 is open all the way from San Francisco to Fort Bragg, so that’s a big win! The Surf motel and Point Noyo Restaurant were great to us last year, so we’ll use them again this year! Here are the details –
Lodging:
Surf Motel and Gardens
1220 South Main St.
Fort Bragg, CA
800-339-5361
Surf Motel & Gardens – Fort Bragg – United StatesThe motel is on the south end of town. Call the number above to make a reservation, and tell them you are with the David Taylor Motorcycle Group. Room rates are –
Single queen rooms – $99
Single King rooms – $99
Two Queen rooms – $109Cutoff for reservations is September 2nd, then the room block will be released and return to normal rates.
Lunch:
Tony’s Seafood Restaurant
18863 Highway 1
Marshall, CA;
415-663-1107The classics never die! We’ll meet here for lunch at 11:45 a.m. The original family has sold to Hog Island but they’re still running it as Tony’s. I haven’t been there since it’s changed hands but from what I hear they aren’t changing it much if at all.
Dinner:
Point Noyo Restaurant and Bar
1011 South Main Street
Fort Bragg, CA
707-962-3035
Point NoyoThe restaurant is about a 1/4 mile walk from the motel. Our reservation is at 7:30 p.m. They have a full bar and lounge as well so we can go hang out and have a couple of drinks before dinner if we want.
Signups are the same as usual – book a room, let me know, show up, and have a good time!
This is one of my favorite rides every year, and I’m really looking forward to seeing everyone again. I hope you can make it!
