Sorry I had to bail on you but it was a great meeting and a good turnout of Oldies.

        Thanks Tom,

There shouldn’t be any problem with parking since we’re arriving just as they open at 11:00.  Hope you did a NO rain dance also!

          South Coasters,

The meeting will go on rain or shine.  If we have to get there by auto, well, that’s ok.  We’ll still have fun, celebrate our history, and thank our Past Presidents.

It’s only 2 hours from Irv’s to Twentynine Palms.  I think it makes a great couples weekend, driving or pillion.  Let’s get some two up riding.  Our days will not be filled with riding.  Instead, we’ll take time to see the beauty and sites of J-Tree and surrounding area.

                Ryan, GTG,

I have myself, Ryan, Ed, Ric, and John down for camping.  Let me know if I missed you but unless another spot opens up at Indian Cove, we’re  capped out for camping.  I’m watching rec.gov every day for an opening.

This alone is enough reason to come out on this special weekend.

Boasting some of the darkest nights in Southern California, Joshua Tree National Park, an International Dark Sky Park by the International Dark-Sky Association (IDA), offers many visitors the chance to admire the Milky Way for the first time in their lives.

This sounds great Rafael!  I can’t remember the club riding in that direction.  I’m looking forward to it.

Did you know that Joshua Trees aren’t trees at all??!!

The famous plants that helped give Joshua Tree National Park its name aren’t actually trees at all, but rather a species of yucca in the same subgroup as flowering grasses and orchids. These plants grow very slowly, as little as just one to three inches per year, helping give them a longer lifespan of about 150 years.

                              Hi Again South Coasters!

Boy, this date is coming up fast.  Hard to believe that we are already a third of the way through January.  If you’re on the fence about this GM, tip forward and sign up.  This is our once a year time when we reflect and honor our past presidents and celebrate the history of the club.

Have you ever looked closely at our logo?  In it are the words “since 1976”!  Wow, most of us weren’t even alive then 🙂  Seriously, we stand on the shoulders of many, many, past board members and presidents who have carried the water, planned rides, purchased insurance, registered the club year in and year out with the MOA and the state of CA, built websites, and of course, led incredible rides.

Let’s make this the biggest turnout of the year!

Oh, and we’re going to have incredible food at the Rose Canyon Cantina!

Thanks for the input Tony, although, can we just forget the shoe tree 🙂  It took me about 20 minutes to get my dang shoes to hook up there last time.  Embarrassing!  How hard can it be?!

                                        Hi Ric,

I’m really looking forward to our annual Christmas party and like that we are able to help Irv’s fill the bin with toys for kids this season.  That’s a great addition.

Admin note: I changed the organizer to YOU and added myself and Juliet as attendees.
