Fantastic Bill!
And thanks for bringing your South Coaster Famous… I mean World Famous Margarita Bar.Yes, agreed! Great weekend. Thanks John for organizing and to Karl for leading the ragged group of off-roaders.
Count me in.
Bring your Cliff bars and beef jerky. 🙂
John, thanks for picking this up.
Tony, count me and Roberto in.
Hey Tony, thanks for setting this up. Since Monday, Jan 18 is a holiday (MLK), have you thought about extending this trip one more day, coming home Monday instead of Sunday?
I’ll meet you at Chevron also.
Hi Tony,
Any updates on Morro Bay? Now that Kernville is behind me I’ve turned my brain to Morro Bay. My head only has capacity for one trip planning. thanksGentlemen,
Let’s keep comments on our website professional and appropriate for all. ThanksKarl, Ed,
If your deal doesn’t work out, I’m also interested.
thanksHi South Coasters!
I’m making another post to see if there is any interest in camping. Frandy campground, across the river from the Kernville Inn, has tent sites available. $43 per night per site. If you are interested, post here, call, or text, and I’ll reserve something.Yes! Better than camping. I called and confirmed that as of now they have plenty of open tent sites that weekend.
It looks like Frandy campground, across the river from the Kernville Inn, has tent sites available. $43 per night per site.
Are any of the normal crew (Dave, Karl, Harry, Erasmo and Diane) camping? If so, I’m in. It looks like there are four campgrounds (all private) within walking distance of Kernville.
Hey Warren,
I’m camping.
EricSuper thanks to Ron, John, and Bill for all the prep work! And, actually, staying at the campground with showers and pool was a bonus after long, hot days of riding. Great roads and great friends.
Hi All,
I just added myself back onto the ride/camping list for KC/S. I’ll bring my air conditioned skivvies 🙂John, thanks for rescuing this.
Hey Los Osos Riders,
I have Jessie, his brother, and David going. Are there any others? Howard? For our route up on Friday, we’ll meet at the Starbucks in La Canada just off of the 210. KSU at 10:00 will get us there by 3:00 for check in. The first leg is to Frazier Park, then over the mountain (Hudson Ranch Road) (this is the fun part 😁!) to New Cayuma, then 166 to 101 to Los Osos.
Sat I was thinking PCH to Carmal, then Carmel Valley Road to 101, to Paso Robles, hwy 46 to Old Creek Rd, then PCH back to the hotel.
I’m open to changes if others have ideas. We could go over Nacimiento-Fergusson Rd to the mission if some have not been over that route.
Jesse, thanks for checking in on this.
I just spoke to MOA to confirm that the event is still on. Additional info:
– MOA is monitoring guidance from the state of California and will make changes as necessary.
– MOA is sending a letter out tomorrow or Friday (July 16 or 17) to all who are registered with more info.
– The dinners on Friday and Saturday nights will be held outside.
– I’m still planning to go and am willing to lead a ride up on Friday and a Saturday ride.
– I’m not sure yet if I’ll attend the dinners. I’ll have to see how they are set up and determine how safe I feel.If you are going, please reply here and let me know. Since this is not on our ride list, I have no idea how many are signed up.
thanks and blessings -
