          Willis,
I will miss hearing Chinese soap operas at 3:00 a.m. when I get up to pee but I’m glad you will be riding with us.

UPDATE: We have reservations at Doffo for 11:00 next Sunday. Tasting and brunch are on your own, pay as you go. If you’ve never been there, the property is beautiful, the wine is excellent, and the motorcycles are cool. Definitely a fun vibe. Remember, you do not have to be coming out for the weekend. You can still join us for brunch on Sunday. Please let me know if you are coming though.

Excellent edition. I liked El Presidente’s Tecate reflections.

Great catch! Yes, Borrego Springs. Thanks

Oh man Ron, they sure are beautiful. But alas, I’ve never been a cruiser guy. I grew up on sport bikes and I don’t think I’ll ever be able to get used to riding with my feet in front of me. Weird.

Fantastic event and a great reminder of why I love this club. You are fun, good folks to share conversation and a meal with. Oh, and we get to ride motorcycles. Wow, what a blessing! Thanks to Irv’s for giving us the event space. It made set up, seating, mingling, and clean up easy. Oh, and there were cool motorcycles to sit on and get pictures. Thanks Pete for the impromptu photo studio. I look forward to the pictures. (When was the last time Juliet and I stood for a couples shot? Marine Corps Ball, 2014, I think). Finally, thanks to John and Beth for pulling it all together. Excellent food choices. You guys worked hard behind the scenes and we appreciate you!

I have a room at Red Roof Inn also, $223 for the weekend. Two queen beds if someone wants to double up and go even cheaper. Just let me know.

First, I want to say WELCOME to all of the first-time campers. Excellent! You’ll have lots of support along the way and I look forward to sharing this adventure with you.

Here are some final instructions for the trip.

Routes: I’m attaching gpx files which more or less show our Friday and Saturday routes. The Friday route is changed from what I posted earlier. It was way too long so I shortened it.
                                          Food:
Dinners: I was trying to arrange a cooked, shared meal for Fri and Sat nights but that fell through so please bring your dehydrated food for those nights.
Breakfast: Pete has recommended that we eat breakfast together at Corbin Seats’ Wizzard Cafe in Hollister on Saturday morning. Let’s plan on doing that but it will mean an earlier start.
Lunch: We’ll stop at the Cider Creek Bakery in Paso Robles for lunch on Friday. Saturday lunch will be at Alices Restaurant.
Camping: bring $20 to pay your portion of the campsite.
Weather: the campground will be mild: 50s/60s in the morning and highs of 86 in the afternoon. But, the ride up on Fri will be hot so bring your cooling vest.

If you have any questions please email, text or call, 949 636-4769.

As well as posting here, I’ll get a group text and email going this week with final instructions. For one thing, I pre-rode the southern portion of my planned Friday route this past weekend and decided it’s too gloomy and alien; rocks and dirt and oil rigs and husks of derelict buildings. So I’m changing that. MTF…
