All,
We have decided to reschedule this ride to coincide with the new music festival date. Brandon Wilson will be the new ride leader with more details to come. Please change your reservations as needed, or make them if you have not, on this new weekend.
Thank you,
Karl

John,
It appears you copied some early draft of your minutes with much of the original content from a previous copy.
KarlThat is a fine idea Bill, and sounds reasonable for the lodge to just change the reservation without forfeiting the deposit. Can everyone who has made reservations at the lodge to date make the following weekend?
If we have a leader, that sounds like the best choice.
What does the group say? Anyone willing to lead on the next weekend?
I get it Roberto, we were looking for an afternoon/evening event type ride and liked the idea. No matter what happens in September, hope everyone can keep an eye out in the future for venues with events that might make a good ride destination, does not have to be a big event, probably better if not. Thanks for the feedback.
Anyone else?
Well, that would be an alternative, just to keep the dates, but now music festival. We can set up a route heading South, TBD, ending up staying in Mt. Laguna for the night, return route Sunday. How about a poll from those who were planning on going:
Stay with a day ride So Cal ending in Mt. Laguna 9/22-23? What say you?
I regret the organizers of this event moved it one week later and I am unable to lead the ride on the last weekend in September. Considering this late move and that the organizers appear to be late in getting bands and other things together, we are going to cancel this venue.
I hope to set up another weekend ride on this same weekend, September 22-23, 2018 at another venue, likely coastal to make it a cooler venue also.
We should have info posted within a week. Please cancel any reservations you have and do not make any more at this time.
Regretfully,
Karl Wagner
BODHey all, I received a call from Nika the Music Festival and she said the website for the festival has not been updated. Please do not register for the festival yet. I will post when she informs me it is current. Thank you.

July 28, 2018 at 9:19 am in reply to: San Bernardino Mtn Camp and Ride, Off and On-Road – Update as of 8-13-18! #8609Yes Troy and Michelle, we have room for you at camp. Will you be riding off-road or street?
Everyone, keep an eye out for further information being posted in upcoming weeks regarding meals, route etc.
July 26, 2018 at 8:05 pm in reply to: San Bernardino Mtn Camp and Ride, Off and On-Road – Update as of 8-13-18! #8599Cool Rob&Kellie, Brandon&Ivy, and Ron! The more the merrier. That makes it 18 people, 16 camping. Going to need final numbers by the club meeting in a few weeks to commit to food for dinner and bfast.
.
Ron, I got that price from a simple google search a few weeks back. Just did it again and see what you see. Sorry, nice looking place though.
.Will be working on routes with Roady this weekend and pre-riding some of the off-road to see if the maps “easy” is appropriate! Going to get a little dirty this Saturday! 🙂
.
16-17 campers, 1-2 hotel, about 10-11 tents…. something like that…
.July 25, 2018 at 2:10 pm in reply to: Come pre-ride San Bernardino Off-Road this Saturday 7-28 #8594Great Chuck, the roads I am pre-running are intentionally chosen as “Easy” on one or more map resources I am referring to. The group of for the ride in September is mostly new to off road so we want to make sure we do not get stuck on the side of a mountain with a group due to a bad map reference.
See you at Seaver’s Saturday, let me know if things change. Cell 626 483-4009
Hi Eric, yes, check out the website for the event. There is a campsite very near the venue
July 25, 2018 at 7:52 am in reply to: Come pre-ride San Bernardino Off-Road this Saturday 7-28 #8589Yeah, Yeah, you boys on the tarmac can stick with your gps planning program, the ride this Saturday is to check difficulty and access as well as check out the campsite. Just want to minimize the “Adventure Factor” on the weekend of the ride.
Come on out on that big bike of your Brandon, we will have fun! :0
July 17, 2018 at 7:40 pm in reply to: San Bernardino Mtn Camp and Ride, Off and On-Road – Update as of 8-13-18! #8506Great Adam, yes we have room. I have procured the two remaining campsites in this campground to accommodate the growing group, 13 campers at the point and capacity for few more.
.
Look forward to riding with you.July 17, 2018 at 1:51 pm in reply to: San Bernardino Mtn Camp and Ride, Off and On-Road – Update as of 8-13-18! #8504Great to hear Eric.

Will be a nice close get away with a good warm up off road for most of us. Chuck, may get you to give a short campfire off-road clinic based on what you see Saturday!

Looking forward to it!July 17, 2018 at 7:12 am in reply to: San Bernardino Mtn Camp and Ride, Off and On-Road – Update as of 8-13-18! #8497Oh Boy, I have to stop doing this late at night…..
Erasmo, yes this is the San Berdu trip…. with Diane coming I was thinking music. :0 Will you be camping?
Rick, thanks for the correction, yes date should be 8/18…. thanks for getting it on the ride list
Larry, Chuck and Mike P, thanks for the response.
Bring ideas for routes to the August meeting or email me. I have a few in mind but it will be a group “Adventure” for the off road riders!
July 16, 2018 at 3:35 pm in reply to: San Bernardino Mtn Camp and Ride, Off and On-Road – Update as of 8-13-18! #8471Great Erasmo and Diane, when you decide, reservations at the Mt. Laguna lodge and the tickets for the music fest need to be done by each individual. I was unable to get an group reservation, the lodge is pretty simple.
This will not be StageCoach….. don’t get Daines hopes up!
Good planning meeting yesterday at Seavers, Great to see Adam Ray (new energy!), Bill Reitz (wisdom and history), and Rob Trip (best coniditioning in the club!), as well as your BOD spent many grueling hours knocking out the calendar. Going to be a fun year!
