Good way to wish the South Coasters, old and new, a Happy New Year! Thanks Ron for setting it up and all for participating!
Starting to pack for Anza Borrego!!! Looking forward to the ride next weekend!
As posted above, we really won’t know the breakfast location until we meet in the morning, but the intent is to have it be a reasonably short ride to breakfast considering we are not meeting up until 8am as Seavers. I enjoy Schooner or later also Bill Allen, great menue and ambiance, and certainly would like a new La Canada area breakfast location Henry, we like Hill Street Cafe and I would be up for trying Dish. It’s all what the group wants in the morning.
Here is to the Winter Solstice, the beginning of longer days to come, Christmas and a great New Year hopefull full of good things!
Sorry Ron, that Solstice thing just falls wherever it feels like! Merry Christmas, see you at Rock Inn!
Glad you are feeling better brother! π
Meet at Seavers at 8am and Willy-Nilly to wherever those that show want to go, preferably a good hearty breakfast location! 😉
Hey TC,
I do not believe, (not sure), that an LED additional brake light tied into the RT brake light will trip the Canbus. I believe, (again memory may be incorrect), that this worked om one of the bikes I added a light to. Again, it was an acccessory LED light, like the Clearwater Brake Buddy or similar.
.
Otherwise, you would need to buy something like the Canopener (don’t laugh, that is what Clearwater calls it), to tie into the system and pull the brake light power from that.
.
Good luck,
KarlThanks for the offer Pete, would enjoy coming along, but we have are camping with the family.
.
The Airheads used to have a New Year Eve event down in that area, may want to cross paths with them.Happy New Year!
If ayone would like to do some Intermediate to Challenging offroad riding to the meeting or after the meeting, there are some good dirt streets in that area. Let us know and we will work it it in!
Bill, it depends on the route you take……. π

Hey Howard, just saw your post this morning. Might be interested in joining you if you still are going. Let me know what you are thinking regarding the overnight, anyone else going, and route.
ThanksGood fun last night at the Christmas party, kuddo’s to Sergia and Sue for leading the charge, all the helper elves, Harry for a fine MC job, Ryan, (aka “new guy” on the board) for his gift exchange wrangling, Pete for the photo booth, Irv Seaver (aka Danny and Elaine) for the use of the facility, and last but not least, Steve Leo for winning the “most gifts stolen” award…. :0
Merry Christmas all!

Service light resets require a tool, GS-911 or similar, to access the bikes computer. If you received a light due to the battery that should do it. The GS-911 will tell what the service light is due to.
A friendly dealer or good friend may have a GS-911 if you do not have one.
Gilbert and Carl can show everyone how to do camp showers…… doubles as a show! π
Have fun everyone, wish we were attending!

ahhhhhhh, back in the “Good Old Days” Willy Nilly ride…..
Great Idea John, regrets we are committed with family though… Have good ride!
Hi Ric,
Yes, my wife and I will be riding our bikes up to the ROL. We are leaving Wed taking a few days to tour on the way up. Eric Wolf is also riding the ROL, not sure of his travel plans.
.
Safe travels, see you at the new rally site!
KarlHey Pete,
Our plans have changed and it does not look like myself, Eric or Harry will be making the Chief Joseph Rally next weekend. Regrets. Have a good ride and enjoy the 50th Chief Joseph rally! Look forward to hearing about it.
KarlHey Pete,
Yes, there is usually a primary club camp location the years I have attended at Mariposa. One or two camped on their own for more trees, near other friends, or to camp with the Airheads.
.
This will be a little different with the club arriving in several smaller groups. John sent me the attached map of the fairgrounds with a circle indicating where he is going to try to camp. Perhaps the first one there can find a spot there or another similar spot and text the group.
.
John can clarify when he sees this post.
.
See you up there PeteAttachments:
Nice John, good for another 100k miles now! Lets go! π
LOl, well I am not sure if you can enter the “nether” the GS Giants events, but heck I bet it would be great sport to see you big bike up on the side of the hill! π
