The day was good Rick, but the GS-911 work was negligible due to time and subject matter experts being limited. May be a good post meeting topic with the level of interest. Just need a leader/presenter(s).
would like to Jacob, but that starts at 9am and I need to be setting up. Good idea, enjoy the toys!
It’s right behind the Canbus controller Bill…. π
Looks like we have a lot of interest in GS911 use, should be helpful. Bring your unit if you want any help on your bike. Chris, Larry and I will have our units but only hooked up to our bikes. No one is an expert on these units, but can share what we know.
I pick up my Heidenau rear tire for my F900GSA, to change on Larry’s or Paul’s changer, or by hand if needed!
I believe Bill Allen has an airhead work project, valves I believe.
Some electrical trouble shooting was talked about, but not sure what the project was.
Bring the rags and supplies you need to keep Paul’s work area clean!
Should be a good day, bring more projects if you think of them!
I have deleted the forum entry for the GS event that was in conflict with the Anza Borrego ride.
Ready to wrench with you South Coaster members? The Tech Day is this coming Saturday at Paul and Gail Nelsons. See the Calendar event for time and location. Will put the address here also:

Sharon and I made it home in the big cage, RV, around the same time a you bikes, dropping off Roady’s R60 safe and sound in Brea on the way. Good weekend Brandon, thanks. Those Airheads are one fun and interesting group!
It’s BEAUTIFUL here in Ridgecrest mid-day Thursday, nothing but sunshine and blue skies……. Just like last year, right Brandon and Rick… :0
.
Come on out and buy this R65 I am hauling around, along with tables, chairs and water bottles for all you campers……. don’t need no stinking miles!!! πThat little Honda 230L would break up before it made it all the way out to DV…. π
Very impressive Roady! So is Eastly meeting the challenge?
I have room in the trailer for mine, perhaps I should pack my R75?????

Jacob, and anyone interested in doing an offroad route Saturday, let’s follow the same timeline as the main group, meet up at Airhead central, Furnace Creek:
.
Day 2
β’ Bfast at Airead campsite 8:00am-9:00am
β’ MEET UP 9:00AM β Furnace Creek Park Entrance (so those who are not camping donβt have to pay
entrance fee (just in case) w/full gas.
β’ Rider meeting: 9:15 AM
β’ KSU time: 9:30 AMBring your maps, route to be discussed. Going to keep it fun and to see if we can find some new sites, but if we have enough first timers, Titus Canyon may be the best bang for the buck.
Borgeson, you are luck this clunky old website is unable to post an emoji without significant gyrations……
Look forward to seeing you next weekend buddy!
Mark B, just confirming, you signed up with the Airheads, John Covington per the post above?
Just want to make sure you know how much to get reimbursed from Eastly!!
Look forward to seeign you next week!
Roady, go for it…. could not be any worse than that road you lead us on in Johnson Valley a few years agao…. :0
Seriously though, you could to it for sure. If I were you though I would forgo the top box for a larger bag to avoid rattling that for the length of the road.
The GS Giants ride is March 22-33 in that area, if you happen to be doing it after that, I will likely hit a portion of that road if not all of it, and check out the raod condition after these good rains, at least the main road.
Will try, not sure… but it does show 30% rain as of today…. sure we won’t melt……. :0
We will have the Motorhome and trailer, not able to camp with the airheads due to space unfortunately. We will be just across the street at Sunset Campground aka “parking lot”.
.
I offered to John Covington to haul out whatever he can get to me before the weekend or what I can run to OC and bring back in my Jeep.
.
If anyone else needs something hauled out, get it to my house in Torrance, or I may be able to meet you in OC if John C has a load to pick up.
.
Not bringing my R75 to DV, but will be coming to the Airhead bfast this Sunday 2/10/19.
.
Riding off-road, Friday and Saturday for those that might be interested. Trail ideas appreciated, Titus if we have first timers, that is always a must, but others?Thanks for the projects so far;
.
GS911 overview, specific questions; Brandon – Support; Chris/Larry?
Tire Change; Karl, Chris (potential) – Support; Paul’s equipment/Larry/Chris
R75 Walk through, interested in the pro’s opinion on projects and condition, Clutch cable, brakes/rotors, valve adjustment, ???
.
I will be bringing a box of R75 parts if anyone wants to sift through them and tell me if they are worth anything and worth keeping.
.
Any other projects? Thanks Brandon and Larry…. now we need some projects…… or we could just hang around, have coffee and snacks…. we neeed Ralf to help Dale with an electrical problem again…. π
.
I will have something for sure to do, there is too much resource present to pass by!Roll Call. Please indicate if you are attending the Tech Weekend, the project you would like to get done on your bike, and what assistance you may neeed, if any. Even if you are just coming to help, please RSVP.
Thank you,
Karl
Very clever Mark…….
.
I found the Egg on the pic of the Leather Shop with the Route 66 sign…….
.
Next time you need to cut your face into a pic as if you were there… π
