Well, since so many couples are going, Diane and I can’t miss this ride! πŸ™‚
Reservations have been made. Diane will also drive up on Friday.

        Willis,

There is a campground on Montana de Oro which is closer to Los Osos.

Modular helmets are noisier than a regular full face.
When I was looking at getting a replacement for my Schubert, I looked into the AGV (back in late 2019). I tried the carbon all black AGV at Cycle Gear. The fit was fine, but the clerk told me that it would be noisier because of the carbon fiber shell that for weight savings, didn’t have enough internal padding (to isolate noise). Also, reading the Revzilla comments/reviews, there was a problem with the initial version with regard to
the latch (being cumbersome to open/close) and to some people, their adam’s apple would hit the helmet.
I didn’t have any issue with the latch nor my adam’s apple πŸ™‚

Didn’t buy the helmet (or any for that matter) so I’m still looking but without a “rush” to replace. πŸ™‚

            Hi Tony,

Is there a meeting time on Friday? I see the starting point in San Juan Capistrano (corner of Antonio and 74) from the gpx.

            Thanks

Many Thanks to Tony and Steve Leo for organizing this ride, it was a pleasure. Also many thanks to the ride leaders, Julito, and Henry, who did great managing the large groups.

                John,

Will there be a ride to Kernville on Friday morning? Or is it get there on your own?

                  John,
I’ve booked a room at the Kernville Inn. Mentioned that I’m with SCBRC.
                  Looking forward to the trip!

                    Warren,

Thanks for putting together the ride today. I had a great time riding to Palomar Mt and the Mesa Drive was nice as well.
Hopefully, we’ll be able to do the camping sometime in the near future.

Diane will be out of state for that ride, so she won’t be driving to Kernville. I haven’t yet decided if I’ll be in town as well, but should know soon.

                          Hi Ed,
Thanks for the info. We’ve already got a room at the Comfort Inn Suites in Visalia. It is a short ride to the
Lemon Cove campground so we’ll meet the group there at nite, when the temps are more reasonable :-).

                            John,

After looking at the weather forecast for Lemon Cove (100s), Diane and I have decided not to camp. We’re looking for
a hotel in Visalia (none available in Three Rivers).

                            Thanks

Yes, thanks John C for the meeting and ride. Had a great time. Joe, my bike’s thermometer indicated 111F at the junction of the I-10 and 215. Ouch!

MyRoute-app is based on the old Tyre (same dutch guy, I believe).
The MotoWhere seems to be so easy to build routes or look at other users rides and either import them or modify them. Then sharing, as Joe mentions, is a breeze. Joe also found out that MotoWhere allows you to import the “route” rather than a bunch of waypoints, which helps my Navigation V from getting “lost” πŸ™‚
