Excellent 5086 issue Brandon 👍🏻
Done, thanks for the reminder
Wish I could Eric, but will be on vacation with the Mrs and unavailable.
Wow, fun shots Mark!! Trip is in the books for all of us except Eric Wolf who managed to squeeze a couple more days in his ride, and Steve Hughson who was talking Florida keys when the rest of us pulled out of TN. Official Ride List total was 5,077 miles! More pics to follow since all of us were putting our phones to work … but of course the club Photographers (Mark and Dave Eastly) will likely post the best ones since they have the eye and cameras to do the trip justice!
Right on Karl … we had a couple of campgrounds without them on the TN trip …. you know I like me a shower after a long day in the saddle, especially in some of the muggy conditions we experienced in the South 🙂
I have told the story many times of our Chief Joseph ride when you said you found a campground for the night but there was no shower … Sharon says Ok and I say … uhhh hold up a minute 🙂 🙂
Another good one Karl!! Thanks for a yearful (did I made up a new word ;- ) of work with this.
Greetings from the geographic center of the USA

Steve Hughson (meet there)
David Eastly
Rick Canterino (+3 – meet there)
Brandon Wilson
David Omlor
Chris Roady
John Crittenden
Bikram ??? incommunicado ???
Dan Burtany additions or deletions … any Bikram sitings?
Going to be a fun trip. Hopefully I can get each participant to write a line or two of their trip highlights for our newsletter when we get home (planting seeds :- )
Have a great trip y’all .. I’m jealous!
It is getting closer !! Reminder to those traveling in my group that we will be doing some camping in Bear Country. Please be certain you have the Opsak type odor bags to keep any food, toiletries, stuff that smells sealed up tight. We don’t need to invite any unwanted guests into our camps at night. Also be prepared to hang bear bags on the off chance we camp somewhere without bear boxes. One other thing is you can ship to and from the Rally if you want. The info is on the MOA website. A couple of us that are hammocking on the road are going to ship our tents to TN since the chances of trees to hang from are slim (kudos to Mark for planting the seed a few years ago when he shipped his living room to the SLC rally). Get those tune-ups, fresh tires, etc ready 😉 going to be fun.
*** Reminder ***
Meeting this Friday @ 517 S. Palm Dr in Brea @ 2:00pm for those considering riding up with my group to the Rally. The goal of this meeting is to discuss expectations for the group ride. Our “plan” is to not have a lot of one … we will let the days come to us with a few set milestones to ensure we make necessary progress getting across the Country within our required timelines. A step by step Garmin route will not be part of this plan but Butler maps will. A loose outline for camping, hotels, a general route, pace, etc are the agenda for the meeting. A 4-5,000 mile round trip ride over 2 weeks is no small feat. It is a hefty commitment of time and resources for most of us and my goal with this pre-meet is to help folks decide if the outline being developed for this particular group is a good fit for their rally ride. Hope the list of Rally attendees keeps growing as this years event sounds like it is going to be great fun.Sounds great Dan, i’ll get in touch soon.
2:00pm @ 517 S. Palm Dr, Brea 92821. We will look at general routing and potential way points, camping/hoteling percentages planned, daily mileage goals, packing specifics and any other items on our minds 👍🏻
Hopefully any/all that have an interest in riding in this group can join us and ensure the current game plan works for you. If you can’t make it, get in touch with me if you want to discuss the ride. I will also try to keep this post current. 👍🏻
** HEAR YE HEAR YE **
Tentatively scheduling a planning meeting on Friday 5/3 for our upcoming trip. Any interested in reviewing plans to date and engaging in the planning process are invited with a location to be determined (but likely my home in Brea).
Chris
Love that last pic Rick! Sounds like you pulled off a great ride Ron after taking the reins for Roberto👍🏻 Way to support your fellow BoD member and the club, thanks 👏🏼👏🏼
Looking forward to riding the Hill Country again Rick. We are dropping Eric off in Texas to visit some of his friends on the return ride, so it is a good fit! I may have to pick your brain a bit since I’ve only been thru there once.
