I don’t know his name because he and his brother Eric rode to London Bridge. If he would have been in my group I would INSIST on a full life history to ride with us.
How’s that for a reason !!
Missing names: in the Cool Springs line up between Sharon & Karen is Eric Wolf’s brother & Eric. Don’t remember the brothers name. Same for the London Bridge line up shot it would be them.
The Flight 126 Cafe is a nice location that has taken care of us in the past, however the flight line / hangars are only open on the first Sunday each month. Why not move this meeting Past Prez celebration to March and have the February meeting on Saturday the 2nd ? Superbowl is pretty big.
Boo Bikram, you can always work but you cant always ride to Laughlin with a good group.
Hey Chris the Orange County crew may not be to McDonald’s till about 10:30. Myroute app says about 50 to 60 mins from our 9:30 start.
Don’t worry Ron, Jessie would never lead you astray….. or across a flooded highway. The highest we get is going over Ortega. Twentynine Palms elevation is 1988 & Laughlin is 558.
Come on guys we live in a desert so rain will not be a problem. Just don’t ride through water running across the road. Most of our route is in the open, only Ortega will be mountainous.
Have faith.
Karl I print the sheet and keep in a ziploc in my upper jacket pocket. Gotta look at it once in a while to be sure it’s still up to date.
Oh yea. I know who I’m talking about…. The Kid & Nic Show. A good group that plays a wide variety of music. I see them when here in Costa Mesa. They travel far & wide. I asked on their Facebook page if they might be in Laughlin on our weekend and got a yes.
Karen & I are in. A music group we really enjoy is playing at the Tropicana Laughlin on Friday & Saturday 9pm to 1am. We are going and would like company. It’s across the street from Pioneer.
Thanks soooo much Larry for putting this ride together. It brought back memories of the 2015 Kernville Ride over Breckinridge Road and the ICE FOLLIES. After riding in 37 degrees for awhile 56 degrees felt REAL nice going home.
Alan De Carr (new member) & I are in, not sure about Karen. She said I could go on a guys ride.
Sounds good Larry, can two “mature adults” ride with you ??
That was me Ron. I think the original date was December 29 but Jessie informed me earlier today the new date is January 5. I’ve been updating the FB page for a couple hours adding and moving. Some general meeting dates were changed also.
Since I ALWAYS get the blame maybe I shouldn’t let you know the route tries to take you to I-40 on Kelbaker Road after the Roy’s at Amboy stop. Drag the route back to Route 66 and that is the fun way to travel.
The REST STOP at 4132 Needles Hwy, a small store with bathrooms and cold drinks, is important because it’s about a two hour ride from Roy’s and the old bones will be ready to get off and walk around. From there it’s about 30 minutes or so to the Pioneer Hotel & Casino.
Right next to the Mobil gas stop in Twenty-Nine Palms is Rocky’s Restaurant. It is a good place for lunch since you’re stopping for gas anyway.Trish & Larry I think I can speak for all the South Coasters…. we are so happy to have you two back and we are here if needed.
Thanks to the Kellie & Rob and their great hospitality. It was another EPIC South Coaster event !!
Karen & I are going Sunday at opening if anyone wants to know.
When you make reservations at the Pioneer be sure to ask for a ground floor room so your bike will be right outside. Tell them you are on a motorcycle and like to keep an eye on it.
Thanks for today’s Ride & Dine Jessie. You done REAL GOOD !!
