You are right John. But first we stopped at Charlie Brown’s, remember that ?
I just checked on the FORUMS here and we first went to the Rock Inn on January 16, 2016 !! So every year except 2019 we have started our ride year there. Attached is a pic of that first group thanks to Erasmo.

A “Tradition” continues… We visited the Rock Inn in January of 2017, 2018, 2020, 2021, & 2022. In 2019 we had our meeting at Seaver so don’t know where we would have ridden. Anyone got an idea ??
Very good. That’s Presidential !
Hey John…. Did you call Rock Inn to tell them we were coming Saturday ?? Just checking. 😉
CORRECTION: Five days when the entrance fees are waived at EVERY PARK IN THE COUNTRY.
I couldn’t edit my original post so I added this info.
Karen & I will bring a side dish of sweet potatoes.
Ron on the FB EVENTS page for this meeting, in the body of the description, I posted that John wouldn’t be there so another person would need to step up or everyone just rides their own route to Flight 126.
I have a second stop at the Moorpark McDonald’s (501 New Los Angeles Ave.)to gather everyone before we climb into the mountains for the last 17 miles to the meeting.John won’t be at this meeting, going out of town. I posted that info on the Facebook page saying someone needs to step up and lead or everyone rides their own route. Look at my route and take the 210 north to the 118 west and then follow my route from McDonald’s in Moorpark.
Hey Chris, the below info is from the Oct 13th post that Brandon made on this site:

• MEET UP 8:30 AM (FULL GAS) – Creekside Inn, 725 N Main St, Bishop, CA 93514
• Rider meeting: 8:45 AM
• KSU time: 9:00 AMIF John isn’t staying at the Creekside the meeting location MAY change for Saturday. Take lots of pix so I can feel bad about missing this ride.
Check the Clubs FaceBook page, I got a message from Walt Fulton that he was having trouble getting instructors so had to cancel this event.
The December 4th General Meeting is listed as the Christmas Party on the cover. The party is December 11th.
Rock Creek Lake, Convict Lake & Lundy Lakes are all prime spots for seeing color changes also. Lunch at the Whoa Nelli Deli, the Mobil Station just south of Lee Vining, is popular and not real expensive.

Pete in all the times the Club has gone on the Fall Colors Ride I don’t think anyone has camped. The group stays in the same hotel so it’s easy to coordinate breakfast and dinner and the Saturday ride departure time. It gets pretty cold in Bishop around October so that’s another reason to sleep in a WARM bed. I hope this helps.
Yes the Club has stickers. Our Prez John Crittenden usually has some at General Meetings or other Club functions.
Good choice Ron. Be flexible. Safety first, last, & always !! Damn, once a supervisor always a super…. you get the idea.
MANY THANKS to Beth & John and everyone that made this years picnic one of the most attended events in a long time. Karen & I enjoyed all the foods available, especially the Cheetos !!
I received a call from Dave Diaz, Irv Seaver General Manager, he will have the shop truck at the 49er Rally and offered to bring home anyone who might break down while there. Karl Wagner has his cell number and will be at the Rally also. I have the number but will be home but you can call me if Karl can’t be found. Just one more reason the South Coasters think Irv Seaver is the BEST dealer in SoCal !!
REI has a very nice, light weight, cot that folds up small and is easily packed.
Thank you Chris. I knew there was a reason I like you.
