Karen and I want to thank John & Beth also for the fun Saturday ride but most of all for getting us into breakfast with minimal waiting. They MUST have recognized John’s Presidential qualities and so ushered us right in.
To the crew that made Saturday night dinner let us also offer our thanks for a job well done.
Another South Coasters El Capitan is in the books and it was a great one.Hey Rick, you and the words “small tent” don’t go together. 😁
While researching Ellen’s for Saturday breakfast on Google maps I found this place kinda across the street. It looks interesting and they host motorcycle club events. Maybe a visit at a later date ??
OK Erasmo. Make that 800 fly like the wind and you might catch up to us “touring” riders.
I added the route home from El Cap with a lunch stop at Flight 126 Cafe at Santa Paula Airport. Check above for the post with the route to El Capitan.
Hey Mark, you may catch us since we take a break at the Moorpark McDonald’s then have lunch at The Summit burger place on 150. If you blink you’ll miss The Summit so as you climb onto a plateau look for some trees and tables out front on the right. Both the above places are part of the GPS file I posted.
Hey Dale, save the Tyre route as a GPX file then any one can load it into their GPS. A TRF file can only be used by Tyre and Mac users can’t use Tyre, but they can drag & drop a GPX onto their units.
Any info on the motel so I can update the Facebook page ??
Great job Erasmo, I know I saw that each month but they just keep getting better. This month had so many pictures that’s what people like to see. I suppose many members like to read what I write too. 😁
For all who want to ride up on Friday I have put together a route. The distance is 200 miles and about 4hrs & 45mins. we will stop for lunch at the Summit Burger Shack on 150 so this will add to the time but we should be in camp around 4pm give or take.
We LEAVE Spaghettini Grill, 3005 Old Ranch Pkwy, at 1000 am. Exit 405 at Seal Beach Blvd and go ACROSS The intersection just past the building on the right and into the parking lot. Please be early or let me know you’re coming and we will wait. breitz8552@gmail will get me.
Attached is the GPX file.
Rick & Lisa, we can meet you at the Moorpark MdDonalds about 11:30 or so if you want.

WOW what a fun (well mostly) ride today after the General Meeting. Thanks very much to Vice Prez Tom for leading us on the back roads of northern San Diego County, always fun there. We got to experience the traffic nightmare created by the airplane that crashed onto the I-15 at the 76. EVERY road in the area, including Rice Canyon, was jammed with vehicles trying to escape the results of closing a major freeway.
But we had a good day of riding.
Steve you might check on the arrival time for the campsites, I think 10:30 is way to early. Just a heads up.
Thanks for the heads up David, but you expect me to check the page I’m in charge of ??? 😉
So Mark, what did you get to replace the 6 and why ??
Save me a breakfast burrito David, I’ll be there too.
Did anyone get a picture of all the bikes lined up in front of the Oatman Hotel ?? I just realized I didn’t.
Karen and I might ride over, free food you know. Walt & Nancy from StreetMasters will be there too.
By the way, this shop is just down the street from a South Coaster favorite restaurant — Siggy’s in Murrieta at 26820 Jefferson. In case the breakfast burrito isn’t filling enough, or you need an ice cream fix.Well Mike, I got you home without getting wet the whole weekend. Never believe the weatherman !! Just a few gentle breezes on Hwy 62 going and coming to remind you of the fun we have riding.
Larry, Erasmo thank you for the nice words. These kinds of rides are as much fun to research as they are to lead.
Karen & I got home from Laughlin at 6:30, woulda been sooner but we stopped at Hell’s Kitchen for a hot chocolate and Karen put on her electric gear.
A fun weekend wih a GREAT group to ride with. We got to see three gunfights in Oatman, timing is everything.I got 651 Club miles for the participants.
Thanks for the heads up Erasmo, see you in Laughlin.
