Don’t worry, that rain is for the LA area, you’ll be DEEP in the desert and coming home Monday will be nice. This is President’s Day weekend.
For those camping I read on the Tamarisk Grove Campground site there is NO drinking water at the site. You can buy water from the campground host.
Motels might be available at Ocotillo Wells which is about 20 miles east on Hwy 78.Sounds good to me. The mountains up there are always fun, if not flooded or covered in mud. 😉
Class starts at 11am Erasmo. It should be in the warehouse / classroom across the street. Bob will be at the meeting Saturday to confirm.

John & I just talked and to make it easier for the south county boys the NEW MEETING SPOT is the Mobil Gas station at the Old Hwy 395 & Hwy 76 intersection. Leave time is now 0930. If coming down the I-15 exit at #46 to Hwy 76, turn right and the Mobil station is on the right. Those coming down I-5 take 76 east and the Mobil will be on the left just before crossing I-15.

IS CLOSED FROM 3.8 MI EAST OF SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO (ORANGE CO) TO GRAND AVE /IN LAKE ELSINORE/ (RIVERSIDE CO) – DUE TO A SINKHOLE – MOTORISTS ARE ADVISED TO USE AN ALTERNATE ROUTE – RESIDENTS WILL BE PERMITTED WITH PROPER IDENTIFICATIONI know you aren’t riding over the Sunrise Hwy (Laguna Mtn Lodge) but they are saying the road is in poor to fair condition due to ice so always carry chains if coming to visit. There has been quite a bit of snow up there. Check their Facebook page.
Class will start at 11am on Saturday February 4th at Irv Seaver across the street in the old showroom. Please arrive early so class can start on time. Books will be available at the door.
If anyone wants to meet at Spaghettini Grill I will be leaving there at 0840 with Mr. Nelson.
You Chevron boys don’t get in our way on the 210.David you can’t let him off that easy !! Ride over to his house, sit outside and rev your engine to stir him & the neighbors up. Oh never mind. We ride the quiet bikes. 😔
A big thanks to Jessie for setting up breakfast today at the Broken Yolk. They took good care of us and the food was good.
Here’s a heads up… the 91 freeway will be under weekend construction starting Friday night Nov 4th, that means this weekend (Sunday General Meeting) you will be re-routed.I saw the freeway sign as I was on the 405 today.
Just a reminder…. daylight savings time ENDS on Sunday Nov 6th. Set clocks BACK one hour on Saturday night, don’t be late to the meeting cause you forgot.
Thanks to all the people that turned out to ride today, I think we all had a good time. I want to publicly thank Larry & Mark for going above and beyond to salvage this ride after Ortega was shut down. Also thanks to John for having the route loaded and his phone on so we could communicate.
