When you load the TRF files, those are the Tyre files, save them as GPX files. Plug in your Garmin then Tyre will see it and copy the GPX files to the Garmin.
I know you said no comments but I just had to say very nice Karl. Some fun twisties waiting to be ridden. Please forgive me.
For those interested there is a Rodeway Inn about two blocks away from the Gunn House. I checked and the AAA rate is $108 a night. Here is the info: RODEWAY INN, 128 South Green Street, Sonora, CA, 95370
Don’t keep us waiting …… WHO did the Chicken Dance ????
I posted on the Facebook page but just a reminder… Sunday daylight savings starts. Arizona doesn’t observe daylight savings but when you cross the border set your clocks FORWARD. You don’t want to be late to lunch.
Ice cream at Dickey’s !!!!! You’ll get a 23 page article for that.
Thanks for the nice words Erasmo, it was a fun day of riding the hills.
4:40 and I’m home, what a great day to be riding in the mountains, not so much on the freeways. Hope everyone had a good time on Mulholland.
Hey Mark…… we heard you the first time !!! 😉
Diane & Bob Wetzel along with Bill & (maybe) Karen will be there as long as mud slides on Balcom Canyon don’t stop us.
Karen & I got home at 3:30. Thanks to all that made the ride to Bates Nut Farm. The roads were fun and the weather was good.
Thanks to President Crittenden for setting up Rainbow Oaks for breakfast. It’s been a while since I was there but still good.
If anyone would like to take a little ride after the Presidents Breakfast I threw together two routes, one to Bates Nut Farm and one home from there by Lilac Rd & De Luz Rd. Attached are the GPX files. About 25 miles to Bates and 95 to Ortega & Antonio. I added the third route, to Jerry’s Dog’s, because I heard from a real hot dog authority that the food is good. This place is north on Antonio about two miles from Ortega.
IF ONLY I didn’t have a doctors appointment…. try Roberto, he’s got a new bike needing miles.
Hey Jesse, Mike Pirosh stayed in a motel last year, not sure where, he might be someone to contact about sharing if he’s going.
Oh Beth….. What date do the ladies look at on the calendar for info ?
Save seats for Karen & I please.
Oh Chris…… I hate to bug you again BUT on the #4 GPX route waypoint 12 & 14 need to be exchanged. You enter Artist Drive on the south end (#14) and exit on the north (#12), following this route will have you going against the flow of traffic. Better yet just have two waypoints, 12 to enter on the south end and 13 to exit the one way road.
I haven;t been to Death Valley in a few years but there was no “Gate” to go thru to pay your fee. If you stop at a Visitor Center they may/will ask to see your receipt but if you don’t go in then……. so Ron you might not need to borrow.
Dan it’s 9am leave Flo’s, I don’t know of a south county ride to Flo’s.
Hey Chris and all others going to Death Valley here’s the National Park Service site for road closures:
