Be sure to stop and take pix at Cool Springs, the 1920’s Mobil station on Route 66 about 15 miles east of Oatman.
Home at 2pm safe. Thanks to Ron Zablocki for setting up our annual ride to the Rock Inn to start a new year of rides. Also thanks to Ric for being the sweeper for THE BEST group, number three !
Karen & Bill are bringing a fruit salad.
Here is a pic from the Laughlin Ride about seven years ago. My bike outside my room at the Pioneer.

The nice thing about the Pioneer, ask for a ground floor room and your bike is right outside . Makes it easy to load /unload.
The River Lodge is on a hill above the rest of the hotels & river walk. A long trek to see the action.I rode pillion behind Brandon on his K1600 due to a number of circumstances. What an experience wrapping my arms around him ???!!!!
I’m surprised you could get your arms AROUND Brandon !! HAHAHAHAAAAA
Karen & I will bring 60 pounds of ice, two coolers, and a dessert.
Sorry Gilbert, I thought I said Karen & I would bring dessert and 60 pounds of ice and a cooler.
The MOA had a YouTube video on Monday announcing the location. They had been teasing eight prospects the week before.
March 31, 2023 at 7:11 pm in reply to: April 1st General Meeting, Ride Planning Meeting, Day Ride #19401IT’S HAPPENING! SR-74 (Ortega Highway) Caltrans Orange County District 12 has scheduled 14-hour weekend closures on Saturday, April 1 and Sunday, April 2 from 7 am to 9 pm. Closures will occur from Nichols Institute to Riverside County Line.
Resident access only. Through traffic must take alternate routes.
CHP – TemeculaIf you ride with friends that have Sena’s then stick with that brand. The same for Cardo because they don’t talk to each other easily. If you ride alone then the Sena 50S or 50R are the hot setup with the Harman Kardon speakers & Mesh 2. Cardo has a unit with JBL speakers. JBL is owned by Harman Kardon.
March 19, 2023 at 10:38 pm in reply to: April 1st General Meeting, Ride Planning Meeting, Day Ride #19258Pete I’m sure you know this but if it rains before the April 1 ride on De Luz the many water crossings can get slippery with moss. Riding on Carancho & Sandia Creek are just as much fun without the worry of water crossings and slipping. Just a thought…..

Nice job on the routes and location Ron !! This is the seventh year we visited The Rock Inn in January.

Sergio just in case someone wants to meet along the route the 74 exit is EAST not west. West takes you to PCH and the ocean. Likewise in Temecula you want 79 EAST not west. East goes toward Warner Springs then on to Santa Ysabel and the Farmhouse 78.
