Borrego Palm Canyon Campout. Arrive Friday Febuary 26, depart Sunday Febuary 28, 2016.
This is back by demand. Two nights of camping in beautiful Anza Borrego Park. I will lead a ride out, leaving Irv Seavers at 9am Friday morning. Saturday there will be a ride through the surrounding desert and mountains. Those who do not wish to camp, there are motels close by in Borrego Springs. You are responsible for your own motel reservations! Those who do not wish to cook, there are Resturants also in Borrego Springs. This will result in lots of MILES toward the Milage Contest. This is your chance to rack up those miles! The club has reserved two campsites. As per club rules, each person camping will pay $5.00 per day. This helps reimburse the club for the cost of the sites. Those who wish to only join in for the Saturday ride are welcome. The Saturday ride will pull out at 10am. For you new members this is a good shake down cruise.

I looked at Borrego Palm Canyon Campground, at the bottom of S22 turn left on Palm Canyon Dr and follow the signs back toward the mountains. What time are you getting in Rick? I am leaving Torrance around 1pm.

We’re meeting John in Chino Hills at noon, then the fast route to Mt. Palomar for lunch. We expect to get to the campsite at 4 just in time to build the Taj Mahal. (sunset at 5:30).

I got home Sunday at about 11:30 a.m., having had a very nice ride through Warner Springs and stopping at Richies for breakfast.

I had a great time this weekend, excellent company and roads, and couldn’t have asked for better weather! I’m now a Borrego Groupie and will attend all future weekends there!

Great weekend, thanks Tom! Lisa and I did the 5-mile hike to the Oasis Sunday morning. It was worth it.
