The Death Valley Rendezvous – 25th Anniversary

      Calendar Event Here

The Airheads have their annual rally and the South Coasters have a choice of joining the Airheads for camping (like me, Rick C) or making plans in a nearby motel (someone needs to makes these plans).

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the “Oldest and Lowest of all Airhead Rendezvous,” and, as in the previous 24 years, we will brave the unpredictable weather of February to gather at the Furnace Creek Campground in Death Valley National Park on President’s Day weekend.

SIGN UP HERE AND MAIL YOUR CHECK to the Airheads here:

I have taken enough time off for now, would anyone be interested in heading out very early Saturday morning to arrive by noon? Art least we could enjoy the Saturday dinner and Sunday Breakfast before heading home Sunday! Let me know if you are interested. ETA to leave would be Sonrise Saturday morning. Meet up flexible.

Rain, Rain, go away! Come again another day.
Weekend weather forecast looks lousy – Rain Fri, Sat, & Sun.

Don’t worry, that rain is for the LA area, you’ll be DEEP in the desert and coming home Monday will be nice. This is President’s Day weekend.

Thanks for the positive vibes Bill. I am hoping this is not an entirely soggy adventure but rain or shine I am giving it a go. It is getting out of LA in the morning that most likely will be a bit more wet than I would hope for.

The weatherman says rain this weekend, even in Death Valley, but he lies. Either way, I’m still going. Meet you in Ridgecrest.

Well I was on the fence but have decided not to go. Riding into a storm is not for me. I hope the storm bypasses Death Vally.

I’m feeling another New Year’s Eve event – where the weatherman says rain all 3 days and we barely get sprinkled on once. Never even put on the rain gear. And think of all those wildflowers blooming in the desert. Who knows? Maybe we’ll get a photo taking an epic canoe trip in Death Valley.

                                      Last chance guys!

Besides, Beatty is only 40 miles away with cheap rooms.
