Join us the first Saturday of the month at The Rock Store in Malibu for our General Meeting. This scenic day ride is one of Southern California’s most iconic motorcycling destinations. The legendary roadside stop, The Rock Store, on Mulholland Highway is a favorite among riders for its twisty approach, great food, and moto-culture vibes. Let’s enjoy the curves, the camaraderie, and a solid lunch in true SoCal riding style!
Meet at the Chevron Food Mart located at 17301 Pacific Coast Hwy, Los Angeles, CA, on the corner of PCH and Sunset Blvd, at 9:15am with a KSU of 9:30am.

Does anyone who lives near Irv’s (like me) want to meet me there and then ride up to the Chevron?

Let’s plan on meeting 7:45 at Seaver’s, with KSU at 8:00. Should be about an hour to the rally point and will leave plenty of time to refuel and stretch.

Looking forward to our ride on Saturday. We have a great ride scheduled for after the meeting at the Rock Store. It will take us on some of the great roads of the Malibu Mountain, some hidden away and very seldom used. There is one 5 miles section that the last time I rode it I passes 3 cars going in the other direction.
I have attached a .gpx file the route.
If you haven’t spent much time in the Malibu Mountains, this is a must ride for you.

I forgot to mention that if you need to be home late afternoon I have set it up so we will be near the 101 about 3/4 of the way through the full route. You can leave the ride and jump on the 101 about 2:00-2:30. Home in OC around 4:00 – 4:30.

It seems that some of the GPS programs one person has changed my route when downloading so I have edited the route and added more waypoints to keep programs from changing the route. I also ended the route at the 101 for those who want to head home from there.
I then created a new route from the 101 cutoff back to PCH and the original meet-up spot if anyone wants to go back that way.

Morn’n Coasters!
Teamwork for which our club is known clearly evident for the August GM in the Santa Monica mountains above Malibu yesterday. Ron, Steve, Eric and Trav assisted with route planning and promotion, with David T, Tom W and Steve providing ride leadership. Thank you gents!
12 bikes and 13 riders made the ride through the burn areas along PCH, surreal and heavily patrolled by CHP. We transitioned into the mountains for a nice ride with some fun twisties on a gorgeous day filled with beautiful vistas. Sharing the road with numerous bicyclists required extra attention, particularly on the downgrades.
Lunch on the patio of The Rock Store, a tidy meeting led by Eric and great camaraderie. Introduced was new member Al Lamarre. Welcome Al! For several members the day concluded with an enjoyable ride led by Steve.
Great seeing a fine turnout and appreciate the contributions of our fellow members, including co-ride chair and new Board member David Tomlinson.
